UX/UI design | Visual design | Information architecture

Philadelphia University needed a new design for their School of Continuing and Profesional studies to help increase awareness of the program and help to increase enrollment. They reached out to me to design a new website that would fit with their existing brand, follow SEO best practices, and appeal to multipe target demographics.

Phase 1:

Project Overview

The original website for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies had been in existence for over 3 years, and student feedback revealed that the design was not appealing for users, and vital information such as registration was difficult for them to find. This caused an increase in registration related calls and many students opted to avoid the online process altogether.

Phase 2:

Approaching the Design

I approached the design by taking time to understand how users were using the site to register for classes, and identifying potential obstacles to them completing their task. While designing the experience, I also focused on highlighting the visual brand style with an updated, modern layout.

Phase 3:

Design for Responsiveness

The new design was created responsively to work for desktop and tablet devices. A separate mobile app was used for handheld devices. the new experience increased enrollment to the School of Continuing and Professional Studies by 27% over the course of 4 months.
